The original Egg chair was designed in 1956 by influential Danish architect Arne Jacobsen. The chair was designed for the reception areas of the Royal hotel in Copenhagen which he had been commissioned to design. Over 50 years later, the hotel still boasts egg chairs within its reception areas - a testament to the original design masterpiece. The chair has also featured in many films and TV programmes?
